The first product: Osmanthus Nocturne Scented Candle – Dark Peacock Edition

This scented candle was inspired by that night under the osmanthus tree.
For us, a candle is one of the simplest and gentlest ways to support a meditative state—it doesn’t require any special skill; you just light it, and it quietly brings you back to the present moment. With this candle, we hope to share with you the calm and clarity we felt that night.

For the fragrance, we chose Eastern osmanthus as the main note, layered with orange, jasmine, and soft fruity tones to create a nuanced, multi-dimensional floral-fruity profile. A base of musk, almond, and woods grounds the scent, making it soft, mellow, and steady—like a quiet night slowly unfolding.

We also knew that in Western culture, people don’t usually drink tea from traditional tea bowls, nor do they have the habit of holding and appreciating them as objects. So we wanted to give the tea bowl a new role: combining it with a scented candle. This way, even if you don’t drink tea, you can still enjoy the shape and glaze of the cup in your daily life, while using it as a beautiful, functional candle vessel instead of something that only sits on a shelf.

For the vessel, we chose one of my personal favorite styles of Jian Zhan—the Dark Peacock edition.
It is crafted using traditional methods: an iron-rich clay body, natural mineral materials, and plant-ash glaze, refined through repeated testing and high-temperature firing. It carries the wisdom of an ancient craft and a sense of timeless beauty. The weight of the cup speaks to tradition and heritage, while the delicate gold-luster finish reflects the precision of its thirteen-step making process.

The most special moment comes when the wax is fully melted and the flame is dancing inside the cup.
The golden body is lit from within, and the deep, glassy golden tones inside and outside the vessel shift with the light—vivid, layered, and ever-changing, like a peacock’s tail fully fanned out. Light and shadow weave together, creating something both elegant and slightly mysterious, and offering you a small, quiet space to simply be with your senses.
